Painful PoemsIt starts to make you wonder
If you’re the only one
You can’t stop it now
it’s creeping up
The darkness will take you
your time is up.
I've been left alone.
Sent to the grave
I will not go
I will not behave
They will not take me
I will be strong
and even if they hurt me
I'll hold on through it all.
Pandora's Formation Part 4- FireThe trek through the desert was long and harsh. It was hot, the sun beat down on us and I used my sweatshirt to keep Surge cool. Occasionally we’d stop at cacti and I’d extract the moisture so we could drink. After the long and hot journey we came to a sandstone pyramid with flaming altars. We walked inside the building, slowly and carefully, and a blaze of flames rained upon us. Surge pushed me and the others back, rushing back out into the desert as a figure dropped from the ceiling of the pyramid. “Who are you?!” She shouted, forming flames in her hands as a bright red and orange dragon with a blue and a green eye descended from the roof and stalked us from behind her.
I was confused for a moment..Another familiar face? I held my hands out “Wait! Wait! I know you from somewhere! We’re peaceful!” She lowered her hands, not extinguishing the flames just yet. She looked very familiar... “Nin?” I asked, taking a step forward. “
Pandora's Formation Part 3- Into the SandsI stepped back, sheathing my knife. “Surge, stop.” Surge, with wary eyes, cautiously made his way back to me. “Slate?” She asked as I helped her up. “What’re you doing here?” I answered quickly. “I could ask you the same thing. Myst brought me here.” I realized something and started grinning. I was still the taller one. She looked confused. “Wha..?” I patted her on the head. “Nu!” She said, pushing my hand away. “Why?!” I laughed and looked her in the eyes. “I’m still taller. Now on the other hand, what’re you doing here?” She looked to her dragon, who looked strangely patterned like a blue Tang and spoke. “I was teleported to some temple after school and met someone named Animara. This is Dory.” She gestured to the dragon, who bowed her head and trotted over to her. “This is Surge.” I said, shooting a pointed look to Surge, who bowed his own head an
I'll Never UnderstandWhy can’t you just stop all of this?
They only listen to you.
You lead them as they come at me like snakes,
you should here the words they hiss.
You pelt me with your words
like bombs on a battlefield.
You’ve burned my defenses,
like gasoline and flame on wood.
You’ve melted me down to nothing,
like acid on metal.
And yet you still go on?
You’ve reduced me to nothing,
and yet you still continue to hurt me?
I’ll never understand,
how you could be so heartless,
when you were once so kind.
Pandora's Formation Part 2- AnimalI walked through the river with Surge, carefully walking to keep from making too much noise. I carefully treaded through the water, making little noise and watching the banks to make sure nothing came out at us. This place was foreign to me, causing me to be cautious as to where I went and came from. Eventually I climbed on Surge’s back as the sun set, and he clambered into a tree for the night.
”Alethemus,” A man with pale skin, blood red eyes, and black hair hissed to a figure hidden in the shadows. The figure stepped out, rubbing his head with his hand. “What’d you want Cairo?” the figure grumbled, pulling a rock out of his pocket and chewing on it. “I was sleeping..” He looked very irritated, in all black with short black hair and soulless black eyes. “It is time for you to accomplish your goals. Go off, and follow the children, and when the time is right, you will strike. Do you understand me Alethemus? That is your o
five hour energyi suppose
last week was only an aftershock
of the earthquake you were before.
this place used to vibrate
with metal strings and melodic,
testimonies to life,
emitting coffee-scented moods
and the burn of it too.
i had memorized the
sounds of silence,
i couldn't help but relish it.
no longer had i known
the sounds of folk
and scent of mocha-
you became nothing more
than an echo of the laughter
i so desperately needed to hear again.
then the echoes got louder,
bouncing ferociously off the walls
to be made manifest
i walked into your room
expecting exactly what i found-
an unmade bed,
and an empty beer
(the one that you insisted you needed
just days ago).
i pressed my nose
into the pillow
for incense and cologne and starbucks
to penetrate my mind
and thinking fervently
i already know
what a clean sheet smells like."
how strong an aftershock can be,
